Will Brophy Stake Pocket Tie Downs Work with a 1,600 Lb Truck Bed Camper on a 2017 Ford F-350

I have a 2017 F-350 Ford truck and I am putting a 2018 Palomino Popup truck camper on the back that weighs 1600 lbs. Can I use a TDSF Stake Pocket tie down for it?

The Brophy Stake Pocket Mounted Camper Tie Downs part # TDSF are not given a weight capacity rating. The stake pocket mounted camper tie downs are instead rated to withstand the weight of your truck's payload capacity. Therefore, as long as the 1,600 lb truck bed camper you have does not exceed your 2017 Ford F-350's payload capacity and your truck does not have dual rear wheels, then they will work well for you.

In order to secure the truck bed camper to your truck you will need a set of turnbuckles such as the Brophy Basic Turnbuckles w/ Hardware for Camper Tie-Downs part # TDHP. These turnbuckles have a 3,000 lb weight capacity and a retracted/extended length of 7-5/8" - 12".

Will these work on a 2017 Ram 2500? I’m looking to carry a 2001 8’ camper that weighs 800kg

The Brophy Stake Pocket Tie Downs are sized to fit the stake pockets of older truck models (up through 2010) so they likely won't work with the newer dimensions used on your 2017 Ram. A more universal option would be with the Clamp On version # HSAB that simply clamps around the bed rails. I still recommend checking the measurements listed on the product page just to be sure it will fit well.
