The CTEK MULTI US 7002 12-Volt Universal Battery Charger # CTEK56353 referenced in your question is a multi stage fully automatic charger. When leaving the charger on your vehicle battery for months at a time (which is perfectly fine to do with this particular unit), you will just want to have the charger in the "NORMAL" mode.
The "NORMAL" mode will automatically cycle through various phases when first connected, which will eventually fully charge the battery. Once the battery has been fully charged, it will automatically switch to maintenance charging. When in this state, the battery will receive a pulse only when the voltage sinks, keeping the battery in good shape when it is not being used. It can remain in this state for months at a time, like what you are planning to do.
This is a fantastic battery charger for exactly this reason and it will work very well for your specific application. I have attached a short video demonstration along with the written user's manual on this product that you can also take a look at.
