What are the Dimensions of the U-Bolt in the B&W U-Bolt Safety Chain Kit

What is the width of the U bolts? 2inch on center? I need to replace the U bolts on my 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD

The U-bolt in the B&W Replacement Safety Chain U-Bolt Kit, # BW1900-2-1600, measures 3-1/4 inches long x 2-1/2 inches wide. The inside measurement of the U-bolt is 1-9/16 inches. The U-bolt is also 1/2 of an inch in diameter.

The attached photo displays the measurements of the U-bolt.

The math doesn't add. 1/2 dia. bolt with an outside dimension of 2.5" would have an inside dimension of 1.5", where did the 1/16th go?

Hey Tony, the correct safety chain U-bolt kit you need for your B and W Turnoverball hitch part #BWGNRK1314 is the part #BW1900-2-1600. Did yours break in action??

The inner measurement of the U-bolt is 1-5/8 inches. It is also 2 inches from center to center of the U-Bolt's threaded studs.

Yes, the u-bolts of the #C68WR have the same overall width of 3-1/4 inches on the bottom and top. The studs are perfectly parallel.
