Recommendations for Waterproof Tail Lights for a Boat Trailer
Question:
I have ordered maybe the wrong lights. I have ordered I believe st56rs and stl57rb for service on a boat trailer that is often submerged in salt water. I do not want any water to get into the bulb or socket area. My question is , are these lights suitable for my application and wants

Expert Reply:
Optronics tail lights # ST56RS and # ST57RS are submersible assemblies. This means that water can drain out of them. What I recommend are sealed lights such as # STL57RB and # STL56RB so water cannot get in at all. Sealed lights will have far less issues than regular submersible lights.
