I need to know the actual weight of the Demco hitch components that go in the bed of my truck. I already have rails for mounting the hitch. Thanks.

Another Expert was asked this very question and he found that the total weight of the 18k Demco Hijacker Autoslide # DM8550034 is listed at 265 pounds. You can disassemble the hitch when taking the hitch out of your truck. The head weighs approximately 40 pounds leaving about 225 pounds for the base.
