Overhang Distance of RV Ladder # LA-401
Question:
Looking at the LA-401 Replacement ladder for my 2000 Diplomat. I have two questions, what is the demension of the overhang on the top? next, does the bottom fold up to clear the engen compartment door?

From the point that attaches to the top of an RV to the other side of the ladder the # LA-401 measures 18 inches. This ladder uses 5 inch stand-offs, so from the edge of the top of your RV to where the ladder will attach will be approximately 13 inches.
There is a hinge for the bottom section of the ladder as well. It's not really designed to fold up once mounted. It's more for allowing the ladder to mount to a surface that's may not be totally flat.
