I have found a solution to your question. Unfortunately, the Reese hitch you referenced does not fit you 2016 Jeep Cherokee Latitude. The Reese hitch was designed to fit a 2011 Ford Ranger small size pickup.
We do carry a hitch that will work for your Jeep. I like the etrailer Hitch item # e73ZR. This hitch is custom-fit to your Jeep and has a no-drill design which means you will use existing holes in your vehicle's frame to mount the hitch. The etrailer hitch has the 2 inch receiver opening which is the most common size used for tow accessories.
If your are planning to use the hitch for towing, then you will need a wiring harness to connect your vehicle's lights to the trailer's lights. You will need the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness, # 118605, for the 2016 Jeep Cherokee Latitude. The wiring kit will plug into the existing wiring on your Jeep without cutting or splicing your vehicle's wiring harness. Once installed, you will be able to connect your trailer's 4-way plug to your vehicle. This hook up will allow you to activate the trailer lights when towing a trailer.
You will also need a ball mount and ball to connect to the trailer. I like the Ball Mount Kit for 2" Hitches, # 989900, for your application. The kit includes 2 ball mount, both at different rise and drop, and 2 different size trailer balls, a 1/78 inch ball and a 2 inch ball. This kit will give you different options when connecting your trailer to your vehicle.
I have linked videos of the products I listed and some help articles on towing for you to review.
