Weight Distribution Recommendation for 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Towing 2,600 lb Camper
Question:
I have a 2016 Jeep Wrangler unlimited with a tw of 350 and towing capacity of 3,500. In towing an aflame trailer dry weight 2,600. Would a weight distribution hitch help and if so which do you recommend?

If the trailer you plan on towing weighs more than half of the weight of the tow vehicle we recommend the use of weight distribution.
The best way to pick out a weight distribution system is to base it off of the loaded tongue weight of the setup. You should note that the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of your vehicle should be considered tongue weight as well. I attached an FAQ on determining tongue weight for you to check out.
Your 2,600 lb trailer will have a tongue weight of 260 to 400 lbs so for a WD system the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System # EQ37060ET would be perfect as it has a range of 200-400 lbs and is regarded as one of the nicest WD systems on the market.
