Thule Roof Rack Recommendation for a 2016 Toyota RAV4 with Raised Side Rails  

Question:

hi, I have a rav 4 details ablove. when I enter the details on your site, it suggests the 58inch thule crossroads bars. I measured the roof and it seems like the shorter 45050 bars would fit without hanging over, is the correct and will the sonic 634 work with these bars and the rav4? thank you.

Thule has discontinued the 45050, so you can use the # TH710401 and # TH712200 as an alternative that is compatible. You may want to add locks # TH450400 as well.

That being said I have a perfect recommendation I can make since you don't want bars to extend past the raised rails.

The Thule WingBar Edge, parts # TH26FE and # TH69SC, uses a flush bar type setup where the crossbars do not extend past the feet of the rack at all like you are interested in.

This would work well with the Thule Pulse part # TH614 too. I attached a review video that shows this box being installed on a RAV4 similar to yours.
