Need ST175/70R13 Radial Tire And Galvanized Wheel 5 On 4-1/2 Inch For 1989 Bass Tracker Trailer

Question:

I currently have a 1989 bass tracker boat w/white wheels that are rusted. I want to replace them w/galvanized wheels. The size is ST175/80D13 w/pilot diameter of 2.75. Measurement best I can tell is 5 on 4-1/2 Do you have this rim and tire size in a radial?

On your 1989 Bass Tracker trailer you will need to check the side of your tire and see what load range is on your current tire. It will be either a load range C (6 ply rated) which has a maximum load of 1,360 lbs. at 50 psi. or a load range D (8 ply rated) with a maximum load of 1,610 at 65 psi.

I have both of the load ranges available in the ST175/80R13 radial tire size with a 5 on 4-1/2 galvanized wheel. The Karrier ST175/80R13 Radial Trailer Tire with 13 Inch Galvanized Wheel - 5 on 4-1/2 - Load Range C, # AM31952, is a radial tire that is load range C. The Karrier ST175/80R13 Radial Trailer Tire with 13 Inch Galvanized Wheel - 5 on 4-1/2 - Load Range D, # AM31994, is a radial tire that is load range D.

The 13 inch wheels with 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern we carry have a pilot diameter of 3.19 inches. I do not have any 13 inch wheels with a 2.75 pilot diameter.

If your wheels are attached to your trailer with lug nuts you can use the wheels I have with the larger pilot diameter. When you use lug nuts the wheel will center off of the wheel studs, so the pilot diameter is not used. The correct pilot diameter on the wheel is needed when you have a trailer that uses lug bolts to attach the wheel to the trailer, because then the wheel needs to be hub-centric so it can center on the hub when attaching with the lug bolts.
