Trailer Hitch and Wiring to Tow Rental Trailer with 2002 Toyota Solara
Question:
Hi, I really need to know if this hitch will be compatible with pulling a rental traler. I would rather buy one from you instead of them but I HAVE to know if it will be compatible because I am moving soon.

Expert Reply:
Yes, Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 36336 for your 2002 Toyota Solara is compatible with any rental trailer. Hitches are not trailer-specific so there won't be a problem. Just make sure that the trailer does not exceed the towing capacity of the vehicle.
To tow the trailer you will also need the following:
Ball mount # 3593
1-7/8 inch ball # 19256 or
2 inch ball # 19258 (whichever size the coupler on the trailer needs)
Trailer wiring harness # 119178KIT to power the lights on the trailer
