Can a 1994 chevy 3500 with a 454 pull a 2004 39ft toyhauler

Towing capacity for your 1994 Chevrolet 3500 pickup will depend on several factors, including engine displacement, transmission (2x4 or 4x4), cab style and bed length. If you have the owner's manual for the truck that is the best place to check since that manual should reflect the capacities of the actual equipment in your particular truck. I reviewed a GM document that indicates a maximum towing capacity of 10,000-lbs for V8 3500s and a minimum rating of 8K.
You can also check the plate on the driver's door jamb. If you can find the truck's GCWR (gross combined weight rating) and the GVW (gross vehicle weight) you can determine maximum trailer weight by subtracting GVW from the GCWR.
Another option is to contact a local dealership with the truck's VIN and they should be able to look it up to see it's exact factory equipment and it's towing capacity.
When you're ready to select a 5th wheel hitch you can use the linked page to select one. Click on your bed length to see suitable install kits and hitches. For example, if you have an 8-foot bed and want the most cost-effective option go for the Reese 16K hitch # RP30047 or the Reese 20K Hitch # RP30928 and Universal Base Rails and Installation Kit # RP30035.
