Plate Gooseneck Hitch Recommendation for Flat Bed Truck with Gooseneck Brackets Installed
Question:
I bought a used truck that has a homemade under bed hitch fabricated rd and welded to the truck frame. It is very heavy duty and well constructed, my problem is that it did not come with a ball. It is a course thread opening and none of the trailer stores around me have seen this or carry a ball that will fit. Would this plate be safe to bolt to these cross supports that are already welded on my truck? I know it said it calls for a crossmember support kit but would that work? It is a 01 Chevy 3500 dually

It sounds like you have a set of well-constructed brackets attached to the frame rails of your truck that were previously used for a gooseneck hitch. Assuming that is correct the part # C65500 would be a great option for you as it could attach directly to them.
