P175/70R13 Trailer Tire Replacement Recommendations
Question:
I have a boat trailer with P175/70R13 tires. I would like to replace one wheel and tire however I cannot find this size for sale. On the other hand P175/80R13 is a very common size. Is there any reason not to use an 80 on one side, and the 70 on the other? Thank you!

Helpful Expert Reply:
Tire sizes that start with the letter P are for passenger vehicles and should not be used on a trailer. That is also why you can't find the exact same size since that is not a common trailer tire size.
Your best option is going to be to replace the wheels and tires of your trailer with matching ST tires that are confirmed to fit your trailer hub.
For just a tire you would want the part # TTWTRTM1758013C for an ST175/80R13. If you need a rim with a 4 on 4 inch bolt pattern you would want the part # AM3S120 or for a 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern # AM31985.
