Attaching E-Track to Wooden Trailer Floor
Question:
I recently purchased a new rear/side load trailer to haul my two Polaris sportman 500 atvs. The trailer has 2x6 treated floor attached to the frames cross members at approx 4foot o.c. Is it ok to attach e track to the wood floor to secure the ATVs. It look like some of the E Track would need to attached parallel to the wood planks with most likely all the mounting screws in an individual board. And some of the E Track piceces would need to attach perpendiculay to the boards with the mounting screws in many differnet boards. Is it accepatble to attach the E Track both ways?

Ideally, you'll want some of the hardware attaching the e-track to the trailer floor to also secure to the cross members as well as to the planks that make up the trailer floor. If that's not possible, I'd recommend using a backer plate like # e96RR every two feet or so and through bolting the e-track all the way through the trailer floor and through the backer plate.
Long story short, as long as some of the fasteners are connecting to the trailer frame or cross-members or a backer plate, you should be just fine.
