How to Determine the Pin Box Manufacturer and Model on a 5th Wheel Trailer

Question:

I am not sure which pin box I have on my trailer. I have a 2006 keystone Challenger 5th wheel 32TKA. Can you help? I am looking to purchase an air ride king pin.

There should be a sticker or plate on the pin box itself that lists the manufacturer and model of the pin box. If it is not present then there are some measurements you can take to determine the model of the pin box. I have included a link that explains these measurements for you.

Once the pin box is identified we can determine if there is an air ride pin box that will fit.

@Jose If you're wanting to replace you're pin box we'll need to first know what bolt pattern you have. There's typically a sticker somewhere on the pin box or next to it that lists an RPO#, Serial #, and LCI Item #. If this sticker is missing then you can use the attached guide below to measure for your bolt pattern.

@KevinC I have a Lippert 18,000 lbs Rota-flex pin box with the following numbers: LCI 802605 RPO-0005449875 I want to swap to a fifth wheel to gooseneck hitch like the Reese Air Ride coupler. Will the Reese goose box fifth wheel to goose neck air ride coupler work for my setup? Thank you.

@David Based on the numbers you provided your Rota-Flex has a 1621 bolt pattern and would need the Reese Goose Box 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Air Ride Coupler Adapter # RP85FR. This doesn't come with safety chains so you'll want to pick up some like the # SHK35MR for added safety in the event of a breakaway. Do you have a long bed or will you also need an offset ball to give yourself more turning clearance?
