Replacing Damaged Axles and Spindles on a Yacht Club Trailer

Question:

Hi, I have a Yacht Club trailer for dual PWCs with a damaged spindle. They are welded to the axle so the axle must be replaced...do you carry any that are standard yacht club replacements or do you need all the measurements and try to match it? Thanks

In order to determine which replacement axles you need, I will need a few measurements. I will need hub face to hub face measurement, spring center to center dimension, inner and outer wheel bearing reference number, and the axle capacity. Take a look at the diagram I included.

Regarding replacement spindles, you will want to use a dial caliper to measure the dimensions of your spindle for me to recommend a new one.

The spindle measurements are labeled A through F, please view the diagram as a guide.

A is the spindle shaft diameter
B is where the grease seal sits
C is where the inner bearing sits
D is where the outer bearing sits
E is the thread diameter at the end of the spindle for the nut
F is the spindle shaft length

If you could let me know the year, model number and VIN of the trailer, we may be able to provide you with the correct information without needing the measurements.

@JasonT Looks like a 2,800 lb capacity axle which is a non-standard capacity. So we would need the bearing numbers out of the hub as well as the bolt pattern of the wheels.

@JasonT I need more info from you to determine what you need since 2,800 isn't a common axle capacity.
